The Zen

Memory slots: loading and selecting a script

The Zen has 8 slots. Compile, drag the script into a slot, press Play, unplug from the PC, then pick the slot with the Zen's button.

  1. Open Zen Studio Live in Chrome and connect the Zen to the PC through its PROG port.
  2. Go to the Compiler tab and drag your .gpc file in.
  3. Press Compile.
  4. Drag the compiled script into one of the 8 memory slots.
  5. Press Play (the flash icon).
  6. Disconnect the Zen from the PC.
  7. Connect the Zen's CONSOLE port to your PS5 and plug the controller into A1.
  8. Pick the slot with the Zen's button. The OLED shows the script name when it is running.

How you know it worked

The OLED shows the script name, not the Gearhead logo. With yew2K you may first see the yew2K logo for 1500 ms; that is the boot lockout, not a fault. Then hold L2 and press Options. The mod menu should draw on the OLED.

Replacing a build after a patch

Re-run the generator on yew.gg, download the new .gpc, and load it the same way. An outdated build is one of the three reasons the menu will not open, so do not skip the re-download when a patch lands.
