Connect a Cronus Zen to a PC

Two different ports talk to a PC. PROG is for Zen Studio Live. CONSOLE is the one you play through. Controller into A1.

Button names on this page are fixed to PC. Switch platform in the header to open the other guides.

On PC the Zen can be connected to the same machine for two different jobs. PROG is for Zen Studio Live while you load a script. CONSOLE is the port you play through. Follow the order below so the right port is connected at the right time.

Button names below show both families. Use the PS names if your controller is a PlayStation pad and the Xbox names if it is an Xbox pad.

  1. Load the script from a PC

Connect the Zen's PROG port to a PC. Open Zen Studio Live in Chrome. Compiler tab, drag the .gpc in, Compile, drag the result into one of the 8 slots, press Play.

  2. Unplug from the PC

Disconnect the Zen from the PC once Play has finished.

  3. Connect to the PC

Run a cable from the Zen's rear CONSOLE port to the PC.

  4. Plug the controller into A1

The controller goes in the A1 port on the front. Not PROG, not CONSOLE.

  5. Select the slot

Use the Zen's button to pick the slot you loaded. The OLED shows the script name.

  6. Check the in-game settings

Shot Timing: Shots and Layups. Shot Meter: Off. Without these the script cannot time shots.

  7. Open the mod menu

Hold L2 / LT and press Options / Menu. The menu draws on the Zen's OLED. Keep L2 / LT held while you use the D-pad.

First test

Go to online MyCourt. Stand still, click R3 (press the stick in, do not flick it). Auto-Green holds Square / X for the value's ms and releases. If shots come out early, raise the value; late, lower it. Offline MyCourt timing is different from online, so test online.
