Symptom

The controller isn't detected

Put the controller in A1 on the front. If it is already in A1, check it against the official supported-controller list.

Most likely: Wrong port, or a controller the Zen does not support.

Check in this order

  1. Controller into A1. PROG and CONSOLE are the wrong ports for a controller.
  2. Confirm the Zen's CONSOLE port is connected to the PS5 and the OLED shows a script name or the Gearhead logo, so the Zen itself is powered and running.
  3. Check the controller model on Collective Minds' compatibility pages, linked below. Wireless and USB pairing are documented there.

Also worth knowing

If the PS5 sees the controller but the script never reacts, that is a different symptom: Script loaded but nothing happens.
