How it happens by accident
The menu is opened with L2 held. If you hold the PS button button while L2 is still down, that is the kill switch combination. Release both, then hold PS button + R2 to re-enable.
If the OLED is blank too
The kill switch shows as a black LED, not a blank OLED. If the screen is blank as well, check the CONSOLE cable to the PS5 and then Collective Minds' troubleshooting page, which covers power and connection faults this site does not.
